Park Hill Beach House

We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable home which is a short walk to ocean benches and park. Nicely stocked kitchen with all you need to cook meals. King sized bed is very comfortable. Lovely patio and front porch chairs allowed for us to enjoy the sunny days. Great location! Not fancy but very functional and comfortable.

Cambria is our place for vacation several times a year. We love the homes Scenic Coast has available and if there is ever an issue they are quick to fix it. This was a perfect vacation and the weather was warm, sunny and relaxing. We saw the Comet and a satellite train, the sky was so clear. Windsor Castle is our favorite stay.

Perfect location to walk the dogs near Shamel Park and beach. Nicely stocked kitchen, big garage, easy access.

Relaxing, rejuvenating, perfect weather. Every time I come to Cambria, I check out the real estate listings and think "could we possibly afford to move here?" Unfortunately, the answer is generally "no."

It's a very pleasant home. Great location. The only critique is that , during my previous stay the hot water wasn't turned on. I told your office about it. And before this stay I called your office to mention the hot water...but when I got to the house this visit---again the hot water wasn't turned on. That is a big issue- especially for the price we are paying.

We took time away from home to have different scenery while still working remotely. This place has a great office to connect and work remotely. We very much enjoyed our time there. We were able to use the grill, and had a pretty well-stocked kitchen. The weather wasn't warm quite yet, but it did begin to feel warm inside the house so we had to open windows to let outside cooler air in during the evenings, but otherwise it was a great place for us to work remotely.

All would have been perfect if I had known there were "steps" dispursed about the house. One guest missed the step and another could not get up from the toilet on the platform. The house was charming otherwise and in clean and proper condition. We did run out of toilet paper 3 days before we left and went to Cookie Crock for rolls. One invited guest could NOT make it up the three outdoor steps. Could not attend my get together. I would recommend this property to a friend after advising them that were were steps throughout the house.

The house is old and and outdated but that doesn't bother me. I am bothered as I got bitten sleeping. Not just like 1-2 bites, I'm talking 20-30 bites. I don't believe its bed bugs but still its bites. I'm back home and itchy as all heck.

The house is well appointed. You have everything you need. I loved the layout with the bedrooms located on opposite sides of house. We had 2 teens with us and it afforded privacy. The furnishings are a bit dated but really who cares. House is clean. Location is amazing. This may be our new “go to” house up here.

That night an animal apparently got in the garbage cans ( the cans were full and never picked up) and spread garbage all over which we cleaned up. We had to put our plastic garbage bag in garage. There was a garbage bag in there from previous occupant.

It's a great place. Overall love it. But- the hot water was shuffle off in master so our first shower was cold til we figured it out. That night an animal apparently got in the garbage cans ( the cans were full and never picked up) and spread garbage all over which we cleaned up. We had to put our plastic garbage bag in garage. There was a garbage bag in there from previous occupant.

We visit Cambria often and have rented many houses. This was a small house, perfect for 2-4 people. A bit of a strange layout but comfortable. My only real complaint was the lighting in the living room wasn’t the best. On a sunny day with the blinds open it was good, but the lighting wasn’t bright enough in the evening.

Perfect place to stay for my dog and myself, close to Fiscalini Ranch, Moonstone Beach and Main town area of Cambria. House was clean, kept well, could use some updating in some areas but had all I needed to have wonderful stay.

The house and property are well maintained but very outdated. There is carpeting in most of the house, including both bathrooms. One bathroom has three levels. Although it is a ranch style home there are multiple steps in the home. When we arrived there were ants all over the kitchen and silverfish in the cupboards and up the walls. Although the windows have been replaced, two windows in the bedroom and bathroom didn’t open. There were overhead lights that probably just needed new light bulbs but none were there for replacement. Old tv in master bedroom didn’t work. The house just needs some work to be a wonderful, relaxing vacation rental.

We loved our stay at the Park Hill Beach house -- wonderful home, great location to the beach, pet friendly yet clean and fresh. We will return. It is a gem!

I spent 5 nights in this lovely home. It is in a great location between Shamel
Park and Fiscalini Preserve. I had my dog with me and he loved walking in the area. The house is set back from the street making it quiet and private. An easy drive to see elephant seals or to Cambria for shopping.

I was so happy to walk into a home that was immaculate. I rented through another company last time and the unit was dirty and poorly maintained. The home was exactly what we were looking for in our favorite neighborhood in Cambria.

One good point of the house is the location - easy access to Hwy 1, Fiscalini Ranch, etc. Guests have access to the garage which is good for storing luggage, bicycles, etc. or even a car. The kitchen is well supplied with pots, pans, etc. There is an office setup for anyone who needs to "work from home". Washer/dryer, Weber grill and other appliances appear to be somewhat new. The bed is comfortable, and the house is overall reasonably clean.

The house is however, a bit dated and is in need of some refreshing. The recliner in the living room doesn't work. The deck chairs on the front and back patios are not comfortable. The closet in the guest bedroom has an old tube TV stuffed in it, rendering it unusable. Light bulbs are burnt out here and there. Lighting is a bit dim throughout the house in the evening.

We would stay here again - but it's not our first choice among the properties that Scenic Coast manages.

We loved the location close to the trails, park, beach and many eateries. The vibe in the house is welcoming and peaceful. This rental can benefit from some upgrades such as a working recliner in the living room, smart tv’s in all the bedrooms and new carpeting. The house had a musty smell especially in the kitchen and there is an active ant infestation in the kitchen.
This is a lovely home and aside from the stated issues we had a lovely time and look forward to our next stay.

Our first stay at this Charming Clean and Comfortable Beach House. We enjoyed the location near town and the close walk to the cliffs. The garage was a plus. We would definitely recommend this little charmer to Friends and would stay here again!

This home was in an amazing location. Steps to the beach and a short walk to Shamel Park and Fiscialani Ranch. The home was very clean upon entry and has ample room for two couples. The dedicated office was a nice bonus for working remotely. The home is very dated and could use some upgrades, but comes equipped with everything you need.

This rental is a cute old house in a great location near to the ocean. However, the furniture, linen and kitchenware are worn and tired. The back patio could be used for relaxing and reading if the two lounge chairs were not lacking cushions, therefore the patio is not usable. The front porch is too small for an outdoor dining and if the patio was better arranged, one would not be confined to indoors after dark. The landscaping lights were broken and the porch light non- functional which need attention. We have rented several times from the Scenic Coast and are very satisfied with the managers. This was a last minute vacation decision and we made the best of it. Overall, if the location is your priority, the rental would be a good choice.

With our books, movies and the scenery, this was a perfect getaway.

The kitchen is small but very convenient and bright. The office is also a very nice and unexpected feature. Overall, we spent a great week there.

The house was in a great location for the beach and the Fiscaline Farm. There was no help with the house such as a directory of where to find things. The shower would alternate from extremely hot to almost cold thought the shower. The Hot water in the kitchen sink was so hot we feared that we would be burned. The property management made it a far more expensive stay we had planned.

This home has many problems and we would not recommend it:
- Shower and sink in master bedroom have no hot water
- Other shower has a very low ceiling and shower head
- Carpet smells of animal urine and mold/mildew
- Garbage disposal barely works
- Bed in master is uncomfortable
- Kitchen is ill equipped
- Furniture, linen, kitchenware are all run down
We have been renting summer vacation homes in the area for 20 years and this home is by far the worst.

The house was sweet, clean and completely supplied with clean linen and utensils. The only issue was with the plumbing on the north side of the property. It needs serious attention. But, our stay was fun.

We moved to this house after the other one we rented gave us allergies from the rug. This house has rugs, but everything was very clean! The layout is great, bedrooms on opposite sides of the house. I would highly recommend this house. One thing that could be improved is the water pressure in master bedroom shower. That said, we would still rent again.

Park Hill Beach House is in the perfect location to enjoy both the Moonstone Beach boardwalk and the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve. Compact, but clean and well organized. The spacious garage is available for covered parking. Though on Main Street, the house is set back and quiet, looking out to the ocean view.

The Vacation Rental Review Center sent me an email to review our stay. I tried to access their review twice; once from my phone and the other from my PC and they both failed. I alerted the company and said I would review direct to you.

Over the years of visiting Cambria we have rented homes 12 times, stayed at The J Patrick House, The Pickford House, Olallieberry Inn and Ragged Point Inn. Several of our rentals have been on Park Hill and have been very nice, which we've come to expect. Unfortunately Park Hill Beach House that we just rented from 1/25-27 did not meet our expectations.

Ken's first reaction was "This is not as glamorous as I expected."
My chief complaints are:

The water flow in the master bath was deplorable and inadequate for taking a shower and washing one's hair. In addition, it took nearly 4 min. for hot water to get to this bathroom. This certainly doesn't help one to help you conserve water as you request.

The shower head in the other bath is so low, I had to tweak my neck to rinse my hair and I'm only 5'5".

The step up and down into the dining room caused me to trip. That spot needs a caution sign! The steps going from the garage to the house don't show up in the photos either and should be noted for potential renters.

One of the heaters, which was originally in the master bedroom did not work at all. We swapped it with one from another room.

The good things about this house is that it was clean, had plenty of linens, TP, tissues and paper towels. The stove, refrigerator and freezer worked just fine. The art work is nice and interesting and a book titled Healing with Whole Foods intrigued me to the point I'm ordering one for myself.

We will not stay in this house or the last house we rented through your company again. Should we opt to use your company again, I would consult with someone on your staff that knows the houses.

We absolutely loved the coziness and vicinity of this home. The area is simply beautiful and we plan on renting this home for a week next year!!

Very nice location, we watched the fireworks from the drive way. nice bar bee q need some cooking utencels had some ant problems, but who cares. have you refunded the $500.00 deposit?

We had a fabulous time at the Windsor Castle. It is a very nice house and convenient to everything in Cambria. Close to the ocean for our daily walks. Close to the Sea Cjest which is our favorite restaurant. Clean, well equipped. Couldn't be better. We will try to stay again.

This is a nice little home with a perfect lication--1/2 way between Fiscalini Ranch Preserve with its 11miles of hiking trail and spectacular views of the ocean, and Shamel Park with picnic tables and access to Moonstone Beach. Our family had a wonderful time.

we had ants in the back bedroom and kitchen. we were fighting them off and my friends ended up sleeping on the floor in the living room.Also no TV in the master bedroom. Cable box didnt work.

I rented this for the my aunt/uncle and in-laws. Great house, the rooms are separate giving couples privacy. Cozy house, great location.
