A Seaside Escape

We had an excellent experience at this property. It was exactly as depicted and promised. We thought we had a small problem because the sports channel was not offered in the cable package. I called the management office and within an hour the sports channel was added an available for me to watch the golf channel and Laker game. It’s our favorite place to stay.

Absolutely loved every minute of our stay here for Christmas! Amazing location, well stocked home with everything we needed to feel cozy and cook all week (comfy beds!). SO grateful our dogs could join us. Hiking right outside the door, pretty much your own private beach, and close to town for groceries and the best shopping (in Cambria!). We will be back soon!
Only note for the owner is the back screen door is not functioning well- kept falling off, some hooks by the front door would be nice for coats/purses/towels, and the knives could use sharpening (or add a knife sharpener to the otherwise well stocked kitchen tools). Other than that, the place is perfect! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

The crashing waves put you to sleep at night and the view is spectacular. The place is spotless clean and has everything you need to feel at home and cook an amazing meal. Hiking trails just out the door and an almost private beach for two legged and four legged friends. We are so lucky to spend time at the perfect vacation rental.

This is a great rental and a great location. Just steps away for the ocean that allows dogs off leash. Great view of the ocean and beautiful views of the sunset.

My family and I were meant to stay for 7 nights- we only stayed 3. We started noticing by day 3 that every time we got back to the house we would all start coughing badly, including our 10 month old child most of the night. The coughing would only occur when we were in the house. When we started looking for the cause we found:

- Black mold by in almost all the windows
- Black mold seeping through the paint in the loft
- The fans in BOTH bathrooms were not working (an issue raised by another guest 2 months ago), which only exacerbated the mildew
- Humidity throughout the house was so bad that when we laid towels down on the carpet at night, in the morning they were incredibly humid

Besides the mold, there were also some more issues with the state of the property:
- The BBQ was horribly rusted and corroded due to the sea water. All the dials have turned green and the igniter no longer works. It didn't feel safe using it to cook our food.
-No lock on the living room sliding door. Instead, they provide you a stick for you to use as a security measure.
- Kitchen not stocked with the basics- no coffee, no salt, some "clean" glasses stained with lipstick
- Popcorn kernels and dirty napkins under the couches

This property is in a gorgeous location. Yes, the view was partially obstructed but the view to the ocean is still great. The property is in a desperate need of a deep cleaning and repair. There is no excuse for so much black mold and I regret having my family stay here.

Outstanding location, exceptionally clean, and we plan to return.
It is time to consider an outside and inside paint job.

We've stayed at this property many times, and it is always good. The only suggestion I might make is to use a scent-free laundry detergent and a scent-free dryer sheet when doing the laundry for those of us who happen to be scent-intolerant. The smell of Fabreeze is overwhelming. Also, the fans in both bathrooms do not work.

We arrived to a cold house and when we turned the heat on the thermostat was malfunctioning, but the ppty mgmt co got right on it. We absolutely loved the location, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. I hope we have the opportunity to return

This rental was spacious and impeccably clean. The furnishings were quite nice and comfortable especially the beds. The fireplace was a romantic bonus. The ocean right outside the deck was breathtaking. Friendly neighbors and there are no words to explain the picturesque scenery. Cambria is charming and a great place to visit and enjoy. Highly recommend this rental and we will be back

As the title says, the location was perfect for our trip. The unit was spacious, clean and well-appointed. We would stay there again.

Our annual getaway to our favorite Central Coastal towns of San Simeon and Cambria! So serene, amazing sunsets and ocean views. The Seaside Escape feels like home away from home with all the amenities one needs. We have been staying at these condo's for many years. Thank you for sharing your vacation home with us!

Perfect for pets and very relaxing

The condo is in a great location. Central to all the places we love on the Central coast. The two bedrooms were spacious and beds comfortable. The unit was clean and well stocked with the exception of no salt or sugar. These are staples in any rental. The condition of the windows was disappointing. The beautiful view, which is one of the reasons we chose the unit, was obstructed by the foggy windows. Initially, we thought it was in between the panes. However, the last day I found some Windex and cleaned the sliders and it changed everything. Wish I had figured that out day one. Part of the cleaning process should be to clean the windows especially in a oceanside home. The spiral staircase is very narrow and difficult for adults to maneuver. Do not try it in socks as you are likely to slip. The slates in the railing at the top of the loft are too far apart to be save for children or pets. The futon in the loft is not fit to sleep on unless you like a very hard surface. It along with the carpets should be updated.
Also, when we were in the carport loading our car to leave an older man walked by us very abruptly and without stopping just said "I'm here to fix something." No other explanation and no notice from management. We were very uncomfortable with his just walking in. I went back in and he was in the master bathroom. I asked if he would lock up when he left and without looking at me he answered "yes."
Overall, it is a very nice unit. It just needs a few updates to be perfect and some communication regarding any contractors coming in.

We and our little dogs very much enjoyed exploring the beautiful beaches. This is a cozy little place with easy access and nice neighbors. We hope to come back!

We enjoyed our time at SeaSide. The views were wonderful from the deck, living room and kitchen. Also, very private which made it even nicer. It was furnished comfortably with plenty of towels and other items. The home was very clean. We sure enjoyed our time there and will rent again when possible.

The home and it’s location was a perfect getaway! It was very peaceful and relaxing. It will be our first choice for future getaway spots.

This is our 3rd stay at Seaside Escape and we will back in October, 2022. A great location to the ocean, dog friendly, and close to a trail along the ocean. The house is always well stocked and clean.

We've stayed here a number of times, always good. It is a well-maintained property, and it is amply provided with everything you will need for a relaxing vacation! Right on the beach and close to hiking trails -- what more can you ask for?

Enjoyed my stay and found the place very clean and comfortable. The bed was especially comfortable. Short drive to Cambria and a nice walking path on the cliffs when you’re not walking on the beach. I brought a small wireless speaker to hear music at the house but opted to listen to the calming ocean waves crashing up against the shore instead. The only things needing upkeep would be the screen patio door that was torn just enough to let in a few gnats, the fireplace had a tiny flame that wouldn’t stay lit and some of the pans were scratched up Teflon and need to be replaced. But they felt like small things that the owner may not even be aware of. It didn’t bother me but thought I should mention it. I would definitely stay here again and add a few nights to my trip! The neighbors next door were very kind as well. I would definitely recommend to others.

This is our 3rd time at this rental, and we stayed for 5 nights. Perfect setting (with ocean and hiking right out the back door) and everything you could want is there. Simply relaxing.

It was a great runaway vacation for me and my dog. So peaceful without traffic or humans surrounding the house I was really able to rest. This May was pretty windy so bundle up and hold onto your hat.

It was our 3rd time using this rental. It is clean and very relaxing. It’s really nice to have a full kitchen to use as well. I would rate it at all 5’s. It’s an excellent place to stay.

We had the most wonderful time. We loved the duplex and the view. Everything was so clean when we got there. We loved sitting out on the deck looking at the ocean. As a home chef, I was thrilled to find a very well stocked kitchen. It had everything you need for cooking and baking every day. We already booked the place for next year.

Location is right between San Simeon and Cambria. Visited site of elephant seals, had great beach visits and views from Cambria's boardwalk.

This was my second stay here with different people. Both time they loved it. It was a great location to sightsee each way.

The rental was perfect. The location could not have been better for me. Clean, comfortable, and the property management was fantastic. I will definitely be back!

Rental was very clean and cozy. It’s a very welcoming location and I love coming here every year. Staff are courteous and friendly as usual. Overall my favorite vacation place.

Property was great. Management had no internet and was backed up processing people coming in for check in. They were struggling with everyones credit cards. Understandable, I hate when the internet is down anywhere and feel their pain. However in front of a crowd of people they asked me if I had another credit card with a higher balance as my card was declined. There was nothing wrong with the card they had and I suggested they try went thru. Meanwhile while I waited I thought my card was compromised and had the bank on the line and all was fine as I buy Real Estate with the card. The Management did really poorly under duress

First time to visit San Simeon and Cambria and it was one of our favorite vacations! This rental is in a great location, easy access to the beach and very comfortable.

We had a peaceful stay here with friends and really enjoyed the great location near the beach, Cambria restaurants and the central coast including.

Wonderful location with great ocean views. Could see and hear the ocean. Perfect!

We had a good stay at the condo. The access to the beach had stairs but it was a lovely, almost private, stretch of beach. Viewing the sunsets was lovely The bed upstairs is a futon, which is very firm, but we used the beds and couch and it worked just fine.

This was the second time we've stayed at Seaside Escape -- nicely furnished, a magnificent view, ocean access, hiking trails, and dog friendly. Our only complaint was that the internet wasn't working. Ugh. Management company did its best to get this corrected -- the repairman showed up the day we were leaving. No other complaints.

My husband and I found this vacation spot to be perfect for our needs. It was very comfortable and well stocked. We loved the location steps from the beach and near Cambria and San Simeon. Lots to do nearby and very comfy for quiet activities "at home".

Two couples, plenty of space, great view and access to the beach. All seemed to work fine. Recommendable!

My long time friend and I wanted a vacation by the sea. This condo was perfect. It's an easy walk down your own stairs to the dog friendly beach. The unit was extremely clean and fully furnished with many extra amenities and thoughtful items. We easily cooked every meal we wanted to. The beds were very comfortable and it was quiet. We weren't there to sight-see but it's a short drive to all of the local well known places. We hoping to go again next year.

This house is located on a secluded cul-de-sac, away from any drive-through traffic. The rocky beach is nothing to write home about, but it's a short drive to the San Simeon beach a couple miles up the road. We grilled for dinner, and chillaxed with the dogs. Thanks for a great place to escape the heat!

They have all the necessary amenities and the views are stunning...a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. With the exception of the vertical blinds on the sliding glass door (they did not work properly consequently no privacy at night) it was a great stay. I would have given this location all fives but given the vertical blind situation I had to give a 3 star rating for the general condition.

We had a lovely time with our family, the first vacation with your son. The house was most comfortable and had plenty of space for the four of us including a well equipped kitchen clean, bathrooms , and Comfortable beds. We couldnt have asked for a better week at the beach

We felt very comfortable in this condo. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals. The best part was the location! The ocean is right I the backyard! We would definitely return!

Our vacation to Cambria and San Simeon was everything we expected. Our rental house was perfect. Access to the beach and nearby towns and Hearst Castle. We enjoyed the restaurants in the area. We stayed for 4 nights -- plenty of room for 4 of us and a dog. Nice accomodations, very very clean. There's a hiking trail to the south (across State property) which should not be missed. An easy hike. Great for the dog who could be off-leash on the beach.

Great full time neighbors. Fantastic views from the house and convenient path straight to the beach. Beach area is almost private, with only regular congregations of people to watch sunset.

This place is also stocked well for dogs; special bowls, towels, doggie beds, etc. We do not have dogs so we were slightly caught off guard with the dog smell and dog hair randomly displaced; nonetheless, the condo was clean and the fresh air took care of the doggie stuffiness. The view is amazing and the private beach access is the best. We would absolutely return!

The best thing is the location. Lovely ocean view from deck. Easy access to beach. Nice quiet location. Very clean and comfortable. Appliances in excellent condition. Plenty of clean dishes/pots and pans/flatware/bakeware. Plenty of clean towels, there are even towels for the dogs. Nice clean basic place to stay. Plan to visit again.

Upon learning that 9111 Unit 1 was available as a vacation rental, we immediately booked it. This is an extremely comfortable unit with all the necessary amenities, very clean and the location, with its amazing views, makes it all the more desirable. The reason it was given a three (3) star rating relative to its general condition was due to an ant issue in the kitchen and the vertical blinds as well as the window blinds need to be replaced. Lack of privacy at night since the vertical blinds did not close as they should. Additionally, the shower head in the en suite bathroom needs to be replaced (it leaks).
This was brought to the attention of the property managers. They sent out their handyman to address the ant issue (taken care of) and he in turn would advise them of the window and shower issue. The property managers are extremely efficient, professional and courteous...I highly recommend this condo.
