Pinestone

Our group of four couples were delighted by each having our own double bedroom with private, en-suite bath. The upstairs King is light-filled and roomy. The upstairs Queen has an extra door that would allow the bathroom to serve as a shared bath with easy access to the living, dining and central fireplace area. The downstairs King is cozy with a fireplace, as is the downstairs Queen, also with fireplace.

The living area has spectacular ocean views and ample seating for eight adults. The huge dining table is perfect for a large group for dining or games.

The location offers easy access to Hwy 1, just up the hill. Walk across the street to access the coastal boardwalk and stroll to several excellent restaurants.

We learned too late that the shuttle to and from the Cambria Pines Lodge Christmas Market and Lights now has four stops along Moonstone Beach, including one a block from the house.

In short, this was a perfect choice for a group of friends sharing a holiday together. (Oh, yes — check-in and check-out were super easy!)

What a gorgeous home and spectacular location. Our party of 8 felt extremely comfortable- plenty of room for everyone- and the host had everything we needed!

Not great as had to problem solve water main shut off, 2 BR’s exterior slinging glass windows were seized. No direction for fireplace. Batteries on TV & VCR we expired. No house book!
Fortunately the repair man came quickly & had a great attitude. Between him & my husband worked together to resolve issues.
The house needs any kind of espresso appliance ( stove top or electric). Milk frothier & coffee grinder needed for those who need a good coffee before leaving the house. A bit dated used furnishings. Too many throw pillows & no place to store while using bed. No hand or Stand- up mixer at all. We are big time cookin’ people a Cordon Bleu’ graduate who had to bring cast iron skillet. Great access to any type of activity. Just felt like the house truly needed a fresh lift & update.

A small group of old friends met up for a weekend away, midway between LA and the Bay Area. The house location was perfect for dinner on the balcony overlooking the ocean, followed by walking across the street to watch the sunset from the beach. The Cambria farmers market on Fridays was a perfect stop to pick up dinner needs to cook at the house. Morning walks on the beach , the town of Cambria just up the street, plus an easy 30 minute drive to Paso Robles for amazing wine tasting all made for an incredible weekend. The house was easy to access and had everything we needed for our stay. As an added bonus, this was the first rental in Cambria (and I’ve stayed in many) that had instant hot water, making washing dishes and showering much quicker. We would happily stay in this house again.

8 of us, all girl cousins, had a lovely time at Pinestone residence. It was perfect with 4 bedrooms, each with it's own bathroom. 2 blocks off Moonstone Drive and several restaurants within walking distance. City center just a 7 minute drive with restaurants, shopping, dinning, churches, etc.

This was a beautiful and clean home. The house is on Moonstone Beach with a fantastic view of the ocean. Walkable to Sea Chest and Moonstone Grill. All 4 bedrooms have their own bathrooms which was great. I would definitely stay here again.

Loved the location, the house was well stocked, very clean, loved the 4 bathrooms , each bedroom had a slider , the view of the ocean was great. We would love to come back and enjoy this place again thank you !

Nice, clean home with well appointed kitchen, having all the basics you would need. Very nice having a bathroom for each bedroom. There was a small maintenance issue and the property manager, Scenic Coast Properties, handled it immediately! Would stay there again.

Three working actors attending the Cambria Film Festival stayed in the home. They loved it for its location, spaciousness, and amenities. Scenic Coast was responsive, including quickly managing set-up of a cable box. The three guests would happily stay again.

Our stay was very comfortable. We were a group of four couples. It was nice to have an en-suite bathroom for each bedroom. The view was lovely. We would definitely return to this property.

There were 8 of us staying at Pinestone on Moonstone Beach for the week. Each couple had their own bedroom. The location was perfect! We would recommend this property to anyone.
However, there were some minor issues that we feel should be addressed. We have stayed in many properties offered through VRBO and have never had an issue like no kleenex in the house. There were also no napkins. We also had very few hangers in the closets. A blow dryer in each bathroom would be very helpful. There was one blow dryer provided, so 4 ladies had to share. We would have brought our own, but they've always been provided before. There are a couple of safety issues - all of the rugs in the bathrooms are very slippery. They are not for use in bathrooms, but that's what you have when you step out of the shower. That can be very dangerous. Also, the toilet seat in the main bathroom is loose. It needs to be repaired before someone gets hurt. The toilet paper holder in the downstairs bathroom is broken and we found it underneath the sink. Why wasn't it installed back on the wall? All of the sliding glass doors are very difficult to open and the glass needs to be cleaned. The wheels on most of the doors should be replaced. I think the house needs a repairman to come in and fix some issues! One thing that could be a major problem - the master bedroom upstairs has some electrical problems. The electrical outlets did not work and gave off a funny smell. This should be checked before it causes a fire.

Description of property accurate. Lots of parking. House could use some maintenance. Found broken coffee pots, etc in cupboards, drains drain slow, screen doors need help, etc.
The refrigerator/freezer broke day 2. Emergency contact responded immediately with blocks of ice. New refrigerator only was delivered day 3, downstairs. No freezer, so no ice or way to keep food frozen. Did not hear from property manager for rest of stay.
The 5 day minimum requirement would have been nicer if it was a 4 day minimum.
I’m saying yes to would I recommend property to a friend, yet none of our group would return.

My friends and I stayed here over President’s Day weekend. The beautiful weather allowed us to take full advantage of this property. The kitchen and living room windows are picturesque. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to create the meals. I loved that each bedroom has a designated bathroom. Quiet neighborhood, quick stroll the beach, and a small jaunt to downtown- the location is great. The only downside was the charcoal grill. Gas would be easier, but we made it work! For two couples and two adult singles, this place was better than I imagined.

This house was perfect for 3 couples and 1 single person. The en-suite bathrooms offered convenience and privacy and are the primary reason we chose this house. The open floor plan enabled us to gather together for morning coffee and evening wine-downs. The view of the ocean and sunsets was spectacular, and the short walk to the Moonstone Beach boardwalk was perfect for morning and evening walks along the beach. The drive to Hearst Castle, the Elephant Seal viewpoint, and into Cambria was very easy. We would rent this house again and are already planning our next trip to Cambria.

Rooms were clean and bright. Nice view of ocean from master bedroom and living room. Need to upgrade faucets in bathrooms. ... old style that jets out +++ water with high pressure. Need more manegable water conserving spigots/fixtures. Need to fix restroom sink in lower floor- lacks a plug. ..almost lost jewelry.

Great Location, nice home, great access, fireplaces in each bedroom. Needs: more comfortable furniture in living area, more pots & pans in kitchen and seriously needs blinds on west facing windows in living area.

This property is excellent for a few reasons, 1) view and sound of ocean is just lovely, 4) four bathrooms are a huge bonus, 3) beds are comfortable. Additionally, since two bedrooms are downstairs and very separate from the living area, it was ideal to find they each had a separately controlled thermostat to control the heat for each room. I highly recommend the property, just know that you are paying for the view and the bathrooms (both 5 star); the home decor is fine but not what you expect for the price (2/3 star).

We had a friends reunion in Cambria. The best feature of this home is the four master bedrooms. Everyone enjoyed having their own private bathroom. The location and views were great. Also the management company was responsive and efficient. The home was clean and kitchen well stocked. The loose rugs were loose and slippery so we moved them aside out of safety concerns. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay at Pinestone. The location is unbeatable, and really liked how every room has an attached bathroom.

We had a great time in Cambria and liked the location of the Vrbo home. However, I don't understand, with the substantial daily price charged, why they only could provide the cheapest thinest toilet paper imaginable. Also, recommend purchasing breakage insurance, most furniture is very cheap and looks easily broken. For the $285 cleaning fee charged, I would expect the home to be spotless, and, honestly, it pretty much was. Don't think I'd stay there again.

We absolutely loved this rental.The house is in a great location short walk to the beach and a few restaurants. All the bedrooms had their own private bathrooms and access to the patio and Deck. Will definitely be booking this rental again!

We had a wonderful stay in Cambria! On the plus side, this home is in the perfect location for everything you want from a Cambria vacation...walking along Moonstone Beach, relaxing on the balcony, and enjoying the sounds and sights of the ocean. The location was spot on to watch my son surf just across the street, and the ocean views were breathtaking from the living room, kitchen, and primary bedroom. The house was clean and comfortable, and the property manager provided excellent customer service...even heading over to the house a few days before our arrival to pick up an early delivery for us. On the negative side, the home is definitely in need of updating, the bathrooms have ants (and more ants!), fixtures in the bathrooms are old and didn't work well, amenities like shampoo/body wash aren't provided (only two tiny bars of soap per bathroom), and the downstairs bedrooms are quite dark and on the side and back of the house, so they feel dreary and cold. Overall, would stay here again, as the location and value can't be beat.

Four couples had a great weekend here as we each had our own bedroom and bathroom! The ocean views are amazing and being steps to the beach was convenient. The home was clean and fully stocked with dishes we needed. Pick up and drop off of keys was nice. It was a warm weekend so didn’t need fireplace but it was non operable so hope it’s fixed soon. Only a few ant sightings in the bathrooms. Overall, an amazing stay!!!

We stayed at Pinestone on Moonstone Beach for our annual Book Club Retreat and it was the perfect setup for a party of 7. It was clean, comfortable, well appointed and the views were amazing. Plenty of seating both inside and out. My only comment was that it would have been nice if the balcony had been deeper so we didn't have to sit single file, which made it tricky to visit and reach the wine & cheese. ;-)

Lovely home right next to the beach! Wonderful layout for three or four couples. Beds were comfy and each had their own bath. Very clean and well-equipped. Would definitely stay their again.

We had 3 couples over a long weekend and the house was perfect for us. The house was very clean, light and inviting. The beds were comfortable. Having a bathroom for each couple was great. The 6 beach chairs were a huge plus.The boardwalk is 1/2 block away and the ocean view from the deck is beautiful. It's not big enough for dinner, but morning coffee and evening wine for all is very doable. Kitchen had what we needed with stainless steel appliances. The slight draw back was the October sun coming in the windows above the stairwell. Without a shade on the lowest window, the sun settled directly on the sitting area making it a bit uncomfortable. But not enough to forgo renting Pinestone again. This was our third Cambria rental and definitely the best for location to the ocean and beaches.

We like to stay within a close enough distance to the beach to be able to have a view of the ocean and hear the waves breaking. We definitely had that experience in this rental. It is also within walking distance of 3 restaurants on Moonstone Beach Dr which is nice so you don't have to drive into town, but the drive into town is really easy if you do.
It is really bright in the master bedroom in the morning, but there were other bedrooms to choose from if we really wanted to sleep in a darker room.
The downsides were that the fireplace and heat weren't working, and there were ants invading the kitchen and the master bathroom. The rental company asked us if we wanted them to come fix the heat while we were there, but we didn't think it would get that cold so we declined. It was really only cold enough in the morning during our stay. The ants we knew would be a problem b/c there was ant bait placed in the kitchen so we kept our extra food we brought on the dining room table. It was fine. I think the ones in the bathroom were looking for water. Not too many to handle.

Overall this is an awesome house and is the third time my family has used it. We will likely rent it again. There are some minor issues such as slow drains in the upstairs bathrooms, but this is nitpicking. It’s clean, close to the beach, easy access to town, and room for 8 easily.

The home was clean — the stove, oven, and refrigerator were ready for use. The few problems we had, like the sink clogging was promptly addressed by the handy man who was super friendly. Beach was in walking distance .. I would definitely rent again.. trash cans are on the small side.. my family was pleased with the stay! However, I have older parents and the rugs on the floor are a trip hazard..just pick them up because they don’t really serve a purpose. We loved all the open windows and being able to hear the ocean at night and see the fog rolling in.

A superior location - right across the street from the boardwalk - view of the ocean from the deck and living room. You can hear the ocean waves from the house.

Each bedroom has it own private bath which is nice. The house could use a bit of updating. Wish the deck had enough room to eat outside.

We rented this house for my mother’s birthday. It was the perfect location to enjoy a walk and close to restaurants. Directions were easy to follow, wifi worked, beds were comfortable and loved that each had its own bathroom.

Four siblings and spouses looking for one location where we could all be together and we found it in Cambria at Pinestone. We each had our own master suites. The house did have a few flaws; like windows and patio sliders that were difficult to open and close. We encountered some ants but nothing that a spray here and there did not remedy. The location was one of the best qualities. We were walking distance from the beach and a short drive to antique shopping and some of the best dining places for seafood and steaks. We have plans to reserve this house again next year.

My family enjoyed the weekend in this lovely home. Everything was pristine and accessibility to the beach was wonderful!

This is a well loved house, a bit behind the times and in need of some updating. At this point things should be updated. That said its a wonderful location with a fantastic view. Because it the location and cleanliness I would rent again even if not updated. The only reason I gave it 3 instead of 5 stars is furnishings and all the sliding doors and screens are in need of repair.

Everything was great, my only complaint is that we woke up to ants in the kitchen and stairs and down stairs bedroom and that all the electrical plugs need to be changed out,in the bathrooms, what ever was plugged in fell out, so I had to use the kitchen plug to dry and curl my hair, the location was wonderful and clean

We had an issue with heating in one bedroom and i commend Scenic coast for getting both a handy man and HVAC guy out there quickly to resolve.

Nice house in a nice location with a wonderful view over the sea. Neat and clean with everything you could want for when being on a family holiday.

Scenic Coast Property Management made the check in/out process very easy. The property was in a nice location. However, I did not realize that Weymouth was a through street. So there was more traffic than anticipated. The house was very clean. There were a few ants but they were manageable and did not get into our food. The only complaint would be the wall sockets. They were so loose fitting that it made it hard to recharge our phones. The four bedrooms each with its own bath were perfect for our family vacation.

This property was perfect as far as location and amenities. Close to a walking trail, beach, and great restaurants all within walking distance. Very clean. Yes - there were a few ants as other reviews indicated, but it's the beach! Owners supplied plenty of spray to deal with them. I would definitely return to this rental!

This was the perfect spot for 4 couples. Each bedroom having its own bathroom was perfect. The location and view were wonderful. And its proximi to Paso Robles was a plus.

You couldn't ask for a better location. 8 of played bridge and enjoyed the gorgeous view from the living room.

The house is in the perfect location. Just a short walk to the beach and great restaurants. I also loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The only things I would improve upon are there was a smell in the house, ants on the counters in kitchen and bathroom and the windows were filthy.

This is truly a beach house. Beautiful views from the upstairs bedrooms. There were eight of us, so we had privacy due to each bedroom having it's own bathroom. We had plenty of linens, dishes, utensils. It was also immaculate. The staff at Scenic Coast Property Management provide excellent customer services. My thanks to the wonderful handyman who helped us with the fireplace and our electrical problem due to using two hairdryers at the same time. Can't wait to go back to Cambria!

Neighbors seem cool and friendly, a block or so from the Sea Chest which is excellent dinning. All was good. Beautiful weather too!! Highly recommend it and would stay again.

We were so happy to find a place so close to the ocean that had four bedrooms and each one with its own bathroom. The place was lovely and comfortable. The people at Scenic Coast Property Management were helpful and pleasant to work with.
