San Simeon v Just a few miles miles north on Highway One is the small community of San Simeon, home of Hearst Castle®. Originally a Whaling port, it has wide sandy beaches and a sheltered cove perfect for picnicking, swimming or body surfing. A pier for fishing and full or half day fishing boats too. During the winter, Whale Watching excursions are available. Old San Simeon is a wonderful place to explore.
