Casa De La Mar

We have stayed in a number of Cambria rentals, and this is one of the best! Large rooms, well appointed, and a fenced backyard for dogs!! Near the ocean and within walking distance to Fiscalini Ranch. All good.

So beautiful.

We love the location. The dinning room chairs are worn out. The downstairs bed is very uncomfortable. The dining room and the couch near the windows smell like urine. I would recommend the area.

We have been visiting Cambria for 15 years and have been staying in rental houses for the past 8...we've stayed in every neighborhood possible and in all different types of houses...Casa Del Mar is one of our absolute favorites! It was our first time staying here and we will definitely book again. The location is incredible. It's a 2 minute walk to beach access and 6 minute walk from Fiscalini Ranch. The house is spacious and perfect for accommodating a large family or multiple fams. We stayed with our 2 children, our dog and my in-laws. The house is set up with the master bedroom on the top level, and 2 other bedrooms and a bathroom on the lower level which makes it perfect for privacy and space when traveling in a larger group. The amenities are great...loads of towels and linens and a well-stocked kitchen. One suggestion would be better wine glasses...we brought our own, but the house definitely lacks proper wine glasses. It has a good assortment of other glassware, mugs etc.
Furniture was totally fine in terms of a rental (the sofas are a little tired, but overall still very functional and clean). The house was very clean overall...our only hiccup was that the third guest room bed sheets weren't freshly washed, but the onsite washer/dryer made it an easy fix. As the house was super clean and accommodating in every other way, we didn't feel the need to complain and assumed that it was an oversight/mistake. The hot tub was a major perk (they keep it very clean, and we even had a jaccuzzi cleaning service come while we were there). The house is dog friendly (whoop whoop) and well positioned for a day of adventuring, whether its hiking on the ranch, heading to the beach or wine tasting and window shopping in town. Thanks Casa del Mar....we will be back!

The home is very charming and spacious for a family with kids. Loved the jacuzzi and the open upstairs living, dining, and kitchen areas. My family enjoyed our stay and would love to come back. Few items that I would recommend:

The shower head needs to be updated. While I understand and support water conservation, a strong mist makes it difficult to get an adequate shower and shave.

A good deep clean is needed. I have dogs and my allergies still flared up in this home. Also under the couches and chairs it was quite dirty.

Clean and quiet home. New floors, TV, etc. since our last visit. Mattresses were too soft or worn out. They were the only downside. Otherwise, the place looked great. Kudos to the owners for all they have updated.

This rental was perfect for our large family including adult children with a baby of their own, plus our fur babies. The home was clean and beautiful with all the amenities we needed. It was really nice to have a full kitchen and laundry, plus a fully fenced yard for the dogs. It would be great for extended stay vacation. It had a beautiful view from the upstairs windows. Beds in 3 different bedrooms plus a fold out couch bed in the main living room upstairs but off to the side so it didn't feel like it was in the way when in use. 2 1/2 bathrooms made it convenient, we never felt like anyone had to wait long. I will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful home. Very quite and peaceful location. The home is very welcoming, spacious and well appointed. The outdoor spa is such a plus to the home. Have been vacationing in Cambria for 30 years. This is my favorite home to date.

We really enjoyed this house. The only problem was that the bed(trundle) in the 3rd bedroom (the office) was pretty bad. Our son couldn't sleep on it. We would like to come back to this house sometime, but only if the bed is replaced. Also, FYI, many of the light bulbs in the kitchen are burned out. That didn't bother us too much.

We've rented this house before and love the location--Marina Terrace between Lampton Cliffs and the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve. This time, there were a few glitches, very unusual in our 20+ years of experience working with Cambria Coast Rentals. There was sour laundry still in the washer, no bathroom linens out, hot tub non-functional. Still, we enjoyed our time here with our little dogs.

This is a lovely house with tons of communal living space, and the proximity to the beach and Fiscalini Ranch Reserve are hard to beat! The hot tub was a particularly nice perk since we had chilly weather.

The layout of the house was even better than we'd expected for our family trip with two elementary-aged children, their parents, and two grandparents. The master bedroom is on the top floor, along with open-plan kitchen, living room, and dining room. On the same level is the deck with the hot tub. Downstairs are the large second bedroom with the queen bed, and office with a day bed with trundle. It was ideal for us to be able to have the grandparents on the main living level all the time we were at home, and we were able to have a somewhat separate space when needed for our immediately family, as well as having the kids in the room right next to us without stairs being a factor (which is always scary at night in an unfamiliar house!).

The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking equipment, utensils, and appliances.

There were games, puzzles, and quite a library of children's books in particular that we enjoyed.

Great location. Had lots of fun! Garage door opener didn’t work consistently and there was a need to get toilet paper on the second day as there were partial rolls left.

We really loved Casa La Mar. The Property was in even better condition than we expected (from looking at the listing, there's been some thoughtful, small upgrades since the photos were taken), and we really enjoyed the being in a neighborhood removed from town. Wish we could have stayed for longer :)

Casa La Mar is very spacious and functional to dinning in and relaxing. Loved the view and location to hearing the Ocean waves. Only negative to our stay the need of up keep. Front door Jams, One Recliner needs to be fixed and Bed Spread and blanket in Master need to be washed. But overall we would stay here again.

There was a strong smell throughout the house. So much so it was hard to sleep. The place has aged since we were last there. Everything was stocked well. The house was quiet and we liked the floor plan. Just the SMELL! If that was remedied I would give a much better review.

We had a great time at the Casa la Mar. They have made a few improvements since our last visit: new decks, refinished the kitchen cabinets and new big TV in the living room. The kitchen is well supplied in case you want to prepare meals. And the location can't be beat: just a short walk to the Fiscalini Ranch. We would definitely stay here again.

My group of four adults and one toddler were so comfortable in this house! There was plenty of space to spread out and just relax! We enjoyed walking the neighborhood and down to the preserve. Check in and out was easy, the house was spotless and the kitchen stocked with all the utensils and tools we needed. Sure, some of the furniture is a little worn but thats to be expected with a well-loved rental. We love Cambria and can't wait to return!

Some suggestions for improvement
•Better wifi
•provide aluminum foil, parchment paper, sugar packets
•provide comfortable living room couches. Couches are difficult to sit on as they “bottom out”
•remove carpet in living room area

We had a great stay at Casa La Mar. The location is fantastic, a couple blocks to the Fiscalini Ranch. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of pots & pans, utensils, appliances, etc. The house itself is very spacious and comfortable. And thanks for the nice weather while we were visiting. We would definitely stay here again.

Contact free was awesome. I did bring and use my own cleaning supplies just an added layer due to covid. House was in decent shape. Management quick to respond to questions.

wife and I have been coming to Cambria for over 15 years. Have stayed at many houses. This one was very nice. Could not have asked for any more amenities. Would recommend to anyone and would stay here again. Thank you to the owners for sharing their home and thanks to Scenic Coast Properties for always being so professional and kind.

We stayed in this comfortable house for 9 days and we can say that it was a satisfactory place, however, not the best we have stayed. The location was perfect and the view from living and Master was perfect! The house, however, needs TLC. Sadly the house was not as clean as we would have liked. There was a smell of pets and carpet stains that tuned us off a bit. There were not nearly enough utensils or supplies (i.e. we had to go buy our own replacement trash bags and there were hardly any spices or supplies to use). The power in the garage kept shutting off and we got stuck in the garage couple of times, but we were able to reset breaker. The exterior lighting needs to be better and there are loose floor boards at the porch.

This was a great home. The location was very nice, the ability to walk to Fiscalini Preserve and see seals, birds, hawks and members of the Cambria community was wonderful. We enjoyed our time and can't wait to come back next year!

We really loved the location of the home and the cleanliness of it. It was one of the best homes we have rented here, and we rent on the Central Coast nearly every year. Very close to beach and Fiscalini Ranch hiking trails.

This was a very comfortable place for our family including our two dogs. We live Cambria for a relaxing break from Las Vegas. Hearing the ocean waves is a great way to go to sleep. Neighborhood is very quiet. House was perfect for our needs.
