Heaven on Happy Hill

Spacious house with amazing view of ocean from deck and room for everyone. Will definitely stay again!

We love Cambria, and this unique and beautiful house made our trip even more special. I am curious about the house - who built it, and the story behind it. It is thoughtfully designed and far more spacious than I would ever have imagined.


FYI - the house needs a good once over - windows and blinds don't work, carpets have large trail of ugly spots, outdoor deck and furniture is a mess, windows need washing - lot of minor deferred maintenance.

but we looked beyond those things

With four bedrooms the home was perfect in accommodating a group. The beds were very comfortable and all the basic necessities were provided.

Some very minor issues, but overall, a great stay.
Coffee pot was filthy and we could not use it. It made all kitchen utensils suspect, so we washed everything before using.

The house has good space with roomy living area. The location is in a nice neighborhood situated on a hill a short ride to town with nice restaurants and shops. The house itself needs some love. The back deck has a wonderful view of the ocean however needs to be more inviting. How about adding a nice outdoor rug and some better patio furniture for a start. Overall a nice stay. Thanks

We stayed 5 nights with our family of four in Heaven on Happy Hill. We've been on Happy Hill before and already love the location. The home was clean and HUGE. Actually, so many different rooms it was a little hard to navigate, but not in a negative way. Dishes, plates, utensils were all well stocked but was a bit dissappointed that there was no spice cabinet as we've been used to with other vacation rentals. Also, there were no real instructions about the house such as how to use the TVs. The water pressure was out of this world and the master shower was almost too powerful to have a comfortable shower. Lastly, the myriad of light switches was confusing. None of these things would cause me not stay there, but they just take it from a perfect stay to an acceptable stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! The space worked well for our group to spread out and also spend time together in the livingroom and kitchen. We loved that there was space to cook with plenty of dishes and silverware. The appliances were up to date and the rooms were clean and inviting. We liked that there were board games to play and a nice deck to enjoy the great views.
Turning into the driveway can be a little tight, so keep in mind when first coming to the home.

We had a great stay at this house and would definitely rent it again. We had a family of four and mobile grandparents stay here in this split-level home with ocean views. The location was central to everything we planned for our weekend on the coast. The kitchen had all the amenities needed, plus more, to cook meals and with high-end appliances too. The lighting left us baffled the entire stay, so many light switches! The house was only 3 minutes to downtown Cambria and 5 minutes to Moonstone Beach by car, so getting around was really easy.

There was room for all as well as privacy if you wanted. Bathrooms are spacious and clean. Wonderful fun playing hide and seek with the granddaughters too!

This spacious house worked well for our group of 8. The living space is great, and we loved the ocean view. Beds are comfortable, and bathrooms are large.

this is a large spacious house and would easily accommodates 8 people, the house is in decent condition however, the ice and filtered water dispensers on refrigerator are both in need of repair / maintenance , there are no instructions for operation of the many remotes (5 for living room alone) and the TV systems are very complicated and basically unusable without some instruction. Also, there is no instruction on use of gas fireplaces how to turn on and off. The only "balcony " is tiny and very dirty. this is a nice house but, it is in need of some basic attention to these issues.

This home was spacious with a comfortable living room area and well stocked kitchen. There was not a "house manual" provided so things like how to use the fireplaces, TV, games, etc were not available. The BBQ grill had not been cleaned in a long time and was completely unusable and we were unable to clean it ourselves as the grill brush had no bristles. For the amount paid for a cleaning fee we would not expect to have hair in the bathrooms and grimy surfaces in the kitchen. The downstairs shower head was corroded allowing only a little water to come through so we all took turns showering in the upstairs master bath. With a little attention to detail the property management company could have this rental a lot better. For the price I would not stay here again.

We rented this home for our visiting adult children and their children, our grandchildren. There was plenty of room, and the children could play inside, which was great because we had rainy days.

Everything was perfect! Getting the keys was easy, the house has a great view of the ocean, great bedrooms, close to town and perfect for my family. I have stayed in this house before and will do it again .

About only suggestion would be instruction manual about how to work tv

It was a rough start since the keys that were provided did not work in the doors. It was fixed rather quickly though. Nice house, great layout, plenty of room. Would probably go back again.

Great layout. Master on the level of kitchen and living room dining room and powder room spacious and clean. View of the ocean on the first night was great. But with fires and fog we couldn't see it again.
