Holly Hill Cottage

The Holly Hill Cottage was clean and well furnished. It is a bit funky in layout with the shower downstairs and bedrooms upstairs but managable.

I enjoyed my stay at this "cottage" - It has two bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs that has a large tub with a window to the treetops, and a half bath downstairs with a shower. The house feels spacious but cozy. There is a lovely deck off the dining room where you can spend cool outdoor time in the trees. I parked in the teeny tiny garage but next time I'll just park on the driveway - which has room for one car. Having the only shower downstairs from the bedrooms was odd, but bring a robe and you'll be fine!

I will always recommend Scenic Coast to find a perfect vacation rental. The ladies are knowledgeable and professional & what you read is what you get.

This home was better than expected. Not only is it darling on the outside but it’s perfect on the inside. Plenty of space, cozy with wild turkeys and deer everywhere. The neighbors are very friendly. We had a wonderful day and we will be back. The driveway was no problem and not very steep at all.

We found the cottage itself clean and adorable. But something has to be done about the driveway apron. A gully of loose dirt and rocks only served to pelt our car. Very unsafe for anyone without a high profile 4WD vehicle. It’s enough that the drive is so incredibly steep. Please add some asphalt at the street edge, at least.

Our stay was great as always. The cottage was clean and well stocked, although a grab bar might be useful in the upstairs tub for some. The beds are great but the view from the deck is what we come back for. Great wildlife view and a wonderful place to decompress while on vacation. We no longer consider other properties if Holly Hill Cottage is available.

The house was perfect for a weekend getaway. The kitchen was well stocked. We really appreciated the coffee! The fireplace made it so cozy.

Nice quaint cottage in the forest above town. Location was central to the highway, coast and town of Cambria. Large bedrooms but no fenced yard for pets, shower downstairs (very noisy fan) and bath up where the bedrooms are, but overall a comfortable and reasonably priced rental and we enjoyed our stay.

This house was in a convenient location for our stay this time. The house needs some TLC as to updating and repairs though. It also was sparsely stocked for the price. There is no shower in the master bathroom upstairs which was inconvenient and not obvious from the pictures. The property management company is our first choice for finding a rental. Overall we still had a nice stay in Cambria.

The cottage itself is quite well located, the surrounding wooded area was delightful. It was well equipped. The driveway however, was not negotiable by our Tesla. We had not been warned about how steep it is. Photos do not do it justice. Parking on the road was nearly impossible. A kind neighbor kindly allowed us the use of his parking pad.

The house was very cute. It has everything you need. Close to town. What more can you ask for.

We love the Holly Hill Cottage. The location, wildlife, and the cottage itself are great. The area is quiet but expect woodpeckers and turkeys to make a bit of noise in the morning. Our only disappointment was to find that the soaking tube upstairs was not functional...plumbing had been removed and holes left by missing faucets were covered with tape. We were never told of this before arrival and, like a previous reviewer, hope that this will be fixed soon. If not the photos should show things as they are. Other than that we will still look forward to another visit after calling first.

We loved our stay in this cottage. It was super relaxing and cozy. It has a beautiful view surrounded by forest and wildlife including deer, turkeys and squirrels. The fireplace made it super warm and cozy. The big kitchen provided us ample room to cook delicious meals. The location is amazing! You can easily walk to the Pines Lodge and take their stairs to town. The Fiscalini Preserve is only a short hike away and you can also walk to the beach. I was a little disappointed that the upstairs bath did not work, but I'm sure it'll be fixed next time.

Pluses: Kitchen appliances and utensils. Beds. Shower (great pressure but small). Coffee maker. W/D. Vaulted ceilings. Lots of linens. Fireplace. Pirce.
Negatives: Small toilets. Lighting. Need a shower on the second floor with the bedrooms.

More than a cottage. Nice and restful inside. Wild turkeys, deer, wood ******, and more. Great intown experience. Interesting beach. Clidsdale horses.

Spent about a week here to escape the SoCal heat... Super location! on a quiet, treed hillside, close to town, no immediately close neighbors. Place is small but comfortable and well-appointed. Could use a new coffeemaker and upstairs walk-in shower, but we were very comfortable and would rent this place again.

We visited with family in the area. The house was well equipped with household items and had plenty of activities in the area. It was a quiet neighborhood with lots of wildlife around. Shopping and grocery store near by. We went to Bonis Tacos and Sea Chest for dinner- both worth the wait. Several beaches close by that are dog friendly( Cayucos, San Simeon). Wineries in Paso Robles less than 30 minutes away. Weather in Cambria a bit cooler so that was nice during the heat wave. All aound a grat stay.

Very enjoyable. We were visited by deer daily as well as humming birds. Will visit again. Thank you.

Everything was great. Garage and back door automatically lock you out but it added to the memory when getting help to get back in. Turkeys truly do walk around and you can sit in nature right on the porch. Town is very close making it an ideal spot.

We loved being able to wake up to pine trees and enjoy coffee on our back deck before taking the short drive down to the beach for the day. Quiet, secluded home with lots of space made for a we-can't-wait-to-get-back-there visit to Cambria!

Loved the house as well as the turkeys that visited. Woodpeckers, too. Our dog had a great time. Coming back soon.

The house was equipped with what we needed. A bit more condiments would have been helpful. Scary driveway for parking, wish we knew that ahead of time.

Easy checkin and checkout process, property was a little out of the way but the location was good for us and the price was reasonable.

We took a last minute family vacation with my two sisters and this place was simply amazing. Clean, lovely, nestled in the forrest, but close to town if you need anything. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Overall, excellent. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful surroundings and nice home. Would suggest some upgrades: (1) better couch and chair in front room; (2) better lighting in kitchen; and (3) firmer mattress in master bedroom.

We loved our stay at Holly Hill cottage in Cambria. Although a bit tricky to find (we had to ask the mail carrier), the cottage was exactly as promised: quiet, well-equipped, and very clean. The kitchen had everything and the bedrooms were very comfortable. The only things we missed were a garage door opener (you had to push a button inside the garage to open the door, which made leaving the house/garage a bit tricky) and instructions for using the TV/remote (which we figured out through trial-and-error). The cottage is in a great location, just down the road from the Cambria Pines Lodge--perfect for outdoor dining in the lovely gardens--and at the East End of Cambria near the French Bakery, excellent grocery store, and lots of other restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely consider coming back.

Nice little house. The white carpets are odd in a "cabin". It was clean and well stocked, everything worked as advertised.

We found the house accurately described by the rental description and pictures. We were looking for a place in the woods where we could enjoy animals and birds and we found it. If you are looking for an ocean view this is NOT the place but if you want the feel of a quiet, private home in the mountains, this home is perfect. The house is comfortable and well-equipped.

The rental was great for the times that we were actually there. We spent most of our time out doing touristy things, so we did not spend much time there.

It was great, even the dog loved it. Would indeed stay there again. Thanks guys.
